Practice Summary

Mr. Southwick joined Gibson Robb & Lindh in October 2006.   Since joining the firm, Mr. Southwick has litigated a number of marine and landside cargo subrogation matters, and obtained significant recoveries on behalf the firm’s clients. In addition to subrogation, Mr. Southwick also advises insurers on coverage under Hull, P&I, and Marine General Liability policies.  This practice dovetails with Mr. Southwick's defense of marine insured's including freight forwarders, carriers, terminal operators, and vessel manufacturers in products liability, personal injury, and contractual disputes.  Mr. Southwick's practice encompasses both federal and state court litigation

Mr. Southwick joined Gibson Robb after graduation from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.  While in law school, Mr. Southwick clerked at the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.  He also served on Hastings’ Moot Court board, receiving awards in several national competitions.
